GB wins Coupe de la Jeunesse

 

Great Britain has won the Coupe de la Jeunesse – a junior international competition – after a strong contest, across two days, from main rivals, France, with Ireland third and Italy fourth.

GB Rowing won the boys’ match whilst the French took the girls’ match but GB’s gold medal total of nine was enough to take the overall title in an event in which each crew has two races.

"It’s really pleasing to have won the Coupe", said GB Performance Director, David Tanner. "This is a good pointer for the future".
