Rodford, 27, from Gloucester, was a gold-medal winner at the World Championships in the women’s quadruple scull in New Zealand this month. The former Ribston Hall High School pupil went to Beijing for the Olympics in 2008 and narrowly missed out on an Olympic medal coming fifth in the Womens eight. The Gloucester Rowing Club proudly attended the Gloucester Media Sports Awards held on 24 November 2010 and were delighted with the announcement of Beth’s achievement. Beth is featured in the picture with her brother Ben, current Captain of Gloucester Rowing Club. Congratulations Beth!
