More than 400 competitors from across the UK are expected to line up for the English Indoor Rowing Championships on Sunday 29th March, and there’s still time to get your entry in… The annual event is being held at the Manchester Velodrome, providing friendly but competitive racing for men’s and women’s open and lightweights over 2000m and 500m sprints. There are also timed events for juniors and 3000m relays for teams of four. Now in its seventeenth year, the EIRC is the perfect opportunity to test yourself against the nation’s best indoor rowers – several national and world records have been broken at the event, which is organised by Hollingworth Lake RC.
