Entries are now open for Alton Autumn Head which has grown from it’s inception to provide exceptional racing on one of the most attractive stretches of water in Suffolk. For the first time this year, two courses are being offered at 3200 metres and 2200 metres which is aimed at juniors, novice and primary rowers as well as adaptive and rowability crews and scullers. However, all events are offered on both courses. Providing a friendly welcome and superb facilities, Alton Rowing Club is rapidly establishing itself as the ‘must race’ venue in the East of England. Located just south of Ipswich with easy access from the A14, the event is being held at Alton Water (IP9 2RY) on Saturday 21st November in four divisions. Entries are now open and further information can be found on www.altonrowingclub.com Please note that Alton is not Oulton which is in Norfolk or Alton in Hampshire but is near Ipswich which is 1 hr 45 mins from Peterborough or Lea or Bedford or just over 2 hrs from Putney or 1 hr 30 from Huntingdon or 1 hr 20 mins from Norwich or Cambridge.
