Intro

Oxford Brookes University graduate Harry Brightmore is reigning European and World Champion in the men’s eight (M8+).

Harry started coxing as a junior and enjoyed a successful early career, winning medals at the 2012 Coupe de la Jeunesse. He then represented GB for three years at U23 level before being selected for the first time at senior level in the men’s coxed pair at the 2017 World Rowing Championships, where he and his crew finished fourth.

In 2022 he coxed the Men’s eight to gold at the World Cup I regatta, the European Championships and the World Championships.

He was due to cox the Men’s eight at the 2023 European Championships but was unwell out at the regatta and was replaced by Henry Fieldman.

Harry learned to cox at the King’s School, Chester and attended Oxford Brookes University.
