Stoke Rowing Association scoop local awards
A success story for Stoke Rowing Association Trentham Boat Club who were among the delighted winners at the Stoke on Trent Sports awards held on Tuesday 3rd June.
Trentham Watersports Association won:
1st – Sport in the Community
1st – Junior Team (Trentham Boat Club juniors)
1st – Individual with Learning Difficulties (Jade Russ, Special Olympics kayaking)
2nd – Coach of the Year (Darren Barton, Trentham Boat Club)
3rd – Service to Sport (Ruth Holday)
Anna Bebbington (local-born GB rower) won the Sentinel Editor’s award

Ruth Holday of Trentham Boat Club writes ‘the club has three forthcoming fundraising events Lands End – John o’Groats paddle on June 27th, an outrigger canoe race and the summer ball on July 12th. With a new clubhouse on the horizon, it can only get better!’
