British Rowing Senior Championships

The British Rowing Senior Championships, previously known as the ARA and later the British Rowing National Championships, ran from 1972 to 2018

They provided a chance for the top senior rowers from across the country to race each other. The planned 2019 event was cancelled when insufficient entries were received to run a Championship competition. Separate British Rowing Junior Championships remain popular.

Consultation and review has been undertaken on a date and format that would prove more popular to today’s rowing community. Following the return to rowing after Covid-19, future plans for the British Rowing Senior Championships remain open.

The British Rowing Senior Championships will not run in 2020 in order to give more time to review and consult further on date and format.
