STAGING RowSafe – Have Your Say! - British Rowing

RowSafe – Have Your Say!

RowSafe – British Rowing’s guide to good practice in rowing – is being given a makeover, and today is the final day to send us your feedback in the initial consultation process.

The aim is to make RowSafe more accessible and user-friendly, with a new format set to include more specific advice and sample safety assessments and plans.

The new format will see RowSafe structured around a RowSafe Manual, which describes the safety objectives and responsibilities of each group of people involved in rowing.

Row Safe Plus+ sheets will then give more detailed advice about specific risks, suggesting tools that can be used to help assess and mitigate the risk.

Finally, Good Practice Examples such as documents and spread sheets will be included, which can be used as templates to assist in the preparation of safety assessments and plans.

We have now completed the first batch of documents for the RowSafe Manual, and we’d like to give British Rowing members an opportunity to make any comments or suggestions.

Take a look at the attached documents (below), and email your comments to nicola.thompson@britishrowing.org by 5 pm today (22nd June 2012).
